સૌથી મોટુ બંધારણ વિશ્વમાં ભારતીય બંધારણ સૌથી મોટું બંધારણ છે. જેમા 448 અનુચ્છેદ, 12 અનુસુચી, અને 94 સંશોધનોનો સમાવેશ થાય છે.
સમિતીની સ્થાપના 29 ઑગસ્ટ 1947ના રોજ સંવિધાનનો ડ્રાફ્ટ તૈયાર કરવા માટે સમિતીની સ્થાપના કરવામાં આવી હતી. જેના અધ્યક્ષ ડૉ.ભીમરાવ આંબેડકર હતા.
સમય અવધિ સંવિધાન સભામાં સંવિધાનને રજૂ કર્યા બાદ તેને મંજૂર કરવામાં 2 વર્ષ 11 મહિના અને 17 દિવસનો સમય લાગ્યો હતો.
સંવિધાન ને સંવિધાન સમિતીએ સંવિધાનનો ડ્રાફ્ટ હિંદી અને અંગ્રેજી બંને ભાષામાં હસ્તલિખીત અને કૉલીગ્રાફીથી તૈયાર કર્યો હતો. જેમા કોઇ પણ પ્રકારના ટાઇપીંગ અને પ્રિન્ટીંગનો ઉપયોગ નથી કરવામાં આવ્યો.
